Phoenix Rescue Equipment was originally founded by Mike Brick in 1982, on the principal that hydraulic rescue tools should be capable of all the functions of hydraulic rescue. (Push, pull, cut.) The Glove Corporation
Our fire gloves are supplied to national and foreign fire services and are manufactured to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Cal/Osha and EN (European) standards. They are tested by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and must be manufactured to UL's very rigid specifications. Our fire gloves are also used by industrial fire departments and firefighters on board ships. Established in 1969, SPAN’s founder, Leo Whitson began making the first American made liquid filled gauges in Plano, Texas for the oil patch industry.
